Over the past few years the Hudson's Bay flagship Queen
Street store has been a work in progress.
New brand boutiques were built (Burberry, Coach, Topshop/Topman) and The Room was relaunched with a Yabu Pushelberg designed space. Now the store is in the
midst of a major multi-million dollar renovation that will include a complete
transformation of its ground level.
The current women's shoe department located on the second
level will move to a new home at the west end of the main level.
The new women's shoe department is almost ready with fixtures in
place, seating, and cash desks installed.
After women's shoes relocate to the main level, the second floor
will have an expanded menswear department.
On the main level, branded fragrance installations will be
installed along the north wall where sunglasses currently reside.
Men's shirts and ties, which used to occupy the site of the new women's shoe department, has moved to the lower level.
